What exactly is a Pick Up Artist?

A ‘pick up artist’ is a man who has the ability to attract women, and he is someone who is conscious of the methods, skills and techniques he is using in order to achieve a certain level of success with women.

Often Pick up artists are men who at one stage in their lives were not doing as well with women as they would have liked, and so they begin by learning a few techniques to help them out, and eventually as a result of their (usually) immediate success, they go on to learn more and more ways to improve that success rate until they are doing as well with women as rock stars and movie stars do.

What are the differences between a ‘natural’ and a pick up artist?

A NATURAL is a man who has always been successful with women. Whether it was because he was the popular boy at school or the team leader at his work, or whether his parents and upbringing installed his confidence and self belief into him from an early age, or whether he was simply lucky enough to possess the genetics that gave him the looks of Johnny Depp. What ever it is and for whatever reason, a natural is a man who gets the women he wants, and yet, he cannot explain to you how he does it!

We all have a friend who gets ALL the girls!

We all know at least one ‘natural’ and when ever we ask him for tips, or advice on how to get girls, he always gives us a big slap on the back and says:

“ just be confident”

or

“ just make them laugh”

or

“just be your self”

This as we all know is essentially useless advice and only leaves us wanting to tell the natural to “shut up”, as we watch him casually get yet another the number of yet another hot girl.

A pick up artist knows the score!

A pick up artist however, knows how you feel, because he’s been there! And unlike the ‘natural’, he can understand your sticking points and what it is that you need to improve on, in order for you to do better.

A pick up artist can break down exactly what it is that makes him so attractive to women, and he can share that with you, either by teaching you a system, a technique, a routine , a skill or even by simply sharing with you a powerful insight about womens psychology you didn’t know.

The PUA community

There is a ‘community’ of pick up artists known as either the PUA community or the “ seduction community” where people can share new tips, techniques, skills etc with each other that will help them do better with women. This community is obviously predominately made up of men , but there are now a few female pick up coaches who teach men how to attract women too, and some of them are highly respected for their contributions.

The GAME

The community became a lot larger and far more well known after the release of the best selling book “ The Game” by N. Strauss (writer for Rolling stone magazine) His book featured Courtney Love , Tom Cruise, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. There is an interesting part in the book where it explains how the pick up artists in the book actually manage to attract Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

Proof enough that the techniques and skills that Pick up artist possess can be used even on celebrities.
